Reading data from financial statements is process optimization for business and financial analysts, accountants, risk managers, CFOs and other experts in the field of company financial assessment. Pulling data automatically from financial statements can help you mitigate risks of wrong data entry (which is costly to amend), avoid human mistakes in risk assessment, and help teams process more cases in the same time (without the need to increase FTEs).

The platform supports common file types, including PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PNG, JPG, TIFF, and emails. After data extraction, data appears in a file, ready to be downloaded as CSV or XLSX or safely imported into the internal processing system of your choice through API or Zapier.

Using templates in Alphamoon platform is very easy. In the beginning, you can use the template “Financial statements” that will you get started. In the configuration sheet, you will be able to adjust the fields you’d like to extract – think of the exact data you need to process, such as operating income. Note that if the information may be found multiple times (as is the case of financial statements, where operating income may apepar several times per each fiscal year), remember to include that the field may be extracted multiple times.
